OnePlus: Go beyond Speed, First look of OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus Still a Value for Money Flagship?

OnePlus the Chinese manufacture launched its first smartphone OnePlus One in the year 2014, but it was after the launch of OnePlus 3 that the company began to grow popular in India and Internationally. The company got so much attention because of the premium level smartphones with flagship level specs that it offered at a mind blowing, affordable price.

Now in 2019 OnePlus has became the No.1 premium smartphone company and also the fastest growing smartphone company in India. Now the company has launched its new flagship killer the OnePlus 7 Pro, lets find out if it still holds the name "the flagship killer".

OnePlus has pretty much packed every trendy, new smartphone features we have see in their new offspring the OnePlus 7 Pro. Even though the price has increased, OnePlus 7 Pro still holds the title of being one of the most value for money smartphones out in the market right now.

Display

OnePlus packs the first in segment 90Hz 6.70inch OLED panel that makes the display more fluid and smooth. The notchless display with the 90Hz panel (higher refresh rates) help for a fluid and immersive experience. Even though the difference is not that much different you will surely appreciate this while doing tasks like browsing the web and playing games like Pubg.

Once you have used the OnePlus 7 Pro with the 90Hz display it is almost impossible that you will go back, even the OnePlus 6T starts to fell a little slow, even though there is nothing wrong with the display.

The phone looks fantastic with the crisp and curved display. The problem is that since the phone has grown in size the phone can't be used one handed anymore. The phone has also has grown heavier by almost 22 grams, even though it doesn't sound much it is noticeable when trying to take a one handed selfie.

Pricing and Specs

The phone comes with the latest chip, the Snapdragon 855 which makes the phones performance speedy and smooth. The phone comes in three options, 6gb ram 128gb storage priced at ₹48,999, 8gb ram 256gb storage priced at ₹52,999 and the  12gb ram 256gb storage priced at ₹57,999.

OnePlus 7 Pro also come with a pop-up 16mp selfie camera and a 48mp+8mp+16mp triple rear camera which also includes a wide-angle camera. Like every other OnePlus smartphones the OnePlus 7 also has no wireless charging feature, but includes a quick wrap charge function. The phone is also not IP rated for waterproofing.  Even though the camera's are great for a ₹50,000 phone they are not up to the flagship level.
This smartphone comes with the Oxygen OS, which is a minimalistic skin and very user-friendly and well optimized. OnePlus also has perfected and optimized their Oxygen OS for a smooth and amazing experience.
The Oxygen OS compared with the Snapdragon 855 make the OnePlus 7 pro a great performing smartphone which is smooth and has great speed.

OnePlus 7 Pro comes with an updated in-screen fingerprint scanner and also features a face unlock. The in-screen fingerprint scanner has grown in size and now unlocks the phone very faster compared to the OnePlus 6T. The only problem is with the Face Unlock feature. Since OnePlus 7 Pro uses a motorized pop-up selfie camera, the face unlock is very slow when compared to the earlier OnePlus smartphones whose facial unlock was very fast or instantaneous.
OnePlus still remains one of the Best Value for Money Smartphone in the market and also include some awesome spec sheet for this price range.
